Overview
We was engaged by the Council of the City of Ryde, to perform a Data Centre Due Diligence audit, and provide IT Infrastructure and Audio Visual consulting in preparation for an office migration. We met with key stakeholders to review their business requirements and any operational matters that would result from the migration to the new site of their IT equipment. We performed a destination site evaluation against an agreed checklist and provided the Council with a detailed report.
To assist the Council with its IT Infrastructure, we attended meetings to confirm the IT environment design, collecting and analysing horizontal and vertical cabling and rack requirements currently installed. We provided a Gap Analysis of damaged cables and infrastructure shortfalls before verifying that the current installation and Council requirements met industry standards and all items were properly coordinated with architectural, electrical and mechanical standpoints.
We reviewed and discussed cabling, Data Centre equipment rack and IT room design and assisted with the change management process to make sure the cabling related changes were properly managed. We later conducted an on-site inspection upon the completion of the IT installation, making sure the installation met industry standards.
We also assisted the Council by reviewing existing Council Chambers audio visual technologies for various systems, including: wireless discussion systems, display screens and data projectors, webcast system and equipment and hearing augmentation. We created specifications and detailed AV designs, and assisted the Client project team select a contractor to fit out the design. We supervised the AV installation providing quality assurance.
