Planning and Fit Out Implementation
In this stage PTS designs the racks and IT layout for the client’s ‘Server Room’ help to optimise the space available in racks, airflow, and performance of their IT equipment. PTS’ Data Centre experts can ensure that their Server Room is designed to meet the client’s specific needs and requirements, and can operate at optimal efficiency. PTS takes the following considerations when developing the Server Room design:
Needs Assessment
We will conduct a detailed needs assessment to understand the client’s requirements for the server room, including the IT equipment to be housed, power and cooling requirements, and any special considerations.
Rack Layout Design
We will design the layout of the server racks, taking into account the client’s requirements, space limitations, and future growth projections.
Rack Configuration Design
We will work with the clients technology teams, third parties and the Data Centre Service Provider to configure the server racks with appropriate IT equipment, including servers, switches, and other hardware, to optimise space utilisation and airflow.
Power and Cooling Design
We will design the rack power and cooling infrastructure to support the IT equipment ensure the Server Room space is serviced with the right level of cooling to support each rack.
Network and Connectivity Design
We can help design the network and connectivity infrastructure, including the structured cabling and connectivity to the client’s network and other systems.
Fit Out and Project Management
Overseeing the Fit Out of the Data Centre Server Room, managing the client technology teams, third parties and the Data Centre Service Provider, PTS ensures that the project is completed on time and within budget.
Commissioning and Testing
PTS undertakes a final commissioning and testing event of the final Fit Out to ensure that it meets the client’s requirements and is fully operational.
Documentation and Training
Providing detailed documentation and training to ensure that the client’s staff are fully trained and able to operate the Data Centre effectively.
Risk Mitigation
We help our clients identify and mitigate risks associated with the design and Fit Out process to ensure that the Fit Out is reliable and secure, and can meet the needs of the business.
